Hi all,

since days I am testing the typo3 multshop extension and was looking up the videos step by step but some problems I could not solve. Mainly concerning the "Payment Method Configuration, Shipping Method Configuration" ect.

By clicking on the "Add new Method Button" I am always redicted to baseUrl, where the shop root template is installed. But no options are shown to choose, like decribed on this server. Nothing!

config.baseUrl is set. but on baseUrl I get this:
http://www.main-rhoen-marktplatz.de/# ( the baseURL with a cross ending displayed in browser)

With firefox firebug I get the error message:
jQuery("#skeyword"icon_wink.gif.autocomplete is not a function

Hint: all required additional extensions are installed

using Typo3 V 4.4.8 and the newest multishop version 1.0.24

Hope someone can help. I guess it must be a little thing, that I have overlooked during configuration. But what??

thanks for help in advance!

I think you dont have a Multishop search box on that page? Like normally you have a basic front end search in the left or right side of the template. the Autocomplete javascript is loaded only when the searchbox content element is added.

Thanks for your fast reply.

I added the searchbox but the described behavior remains the
same. No configuration possible because there are no options.

There is also a second error message:

jQuery.blockUI is not a function
color: '#fff'

this error message appeares on every page where the core template is installed when logged in as an admin user.

first message disappears if I disable "jQuery autocomplete" in constans. But the second message remains and only disapears when redicted to root page as descibed.

I have some other extensions installed using jQuery. May be there is a conflict.

There may well be. The multishop code calls jquery.noconflict with no arguments.
Explanation: normally jquery uses '$' to call a jquery function ($.dostuff), but after noconflict is called (with no arguments) it disassociates $ and changes it to 'jquery' (jquery.dostuff). (It does this to avoid conflict with say prototype that also uses the $ for showing its calling another library). However, another extension you added may also be doing this, but passing noconflict a specific value such as 'jq', which will disassociate the word 'jquery' and make it jq instead (jq.dostuff).
Search the output the browser receives for multiple noconflicts. May not be the case but sounds most likely.

Using other jQuery libs may give troubles. For best compatibility disable those and enable the ones that are provided internally inside Multishop.

The reason why we provide jQuery internally is because that version works well and many other versions contains bugs when using jQuery sortables.

Thanks for the other tips, we will optimize it soon.

Thanks for your replies and tips, Richard and Bas!

They confirm my suggestions. Unfortunately I am not a javascipt/jquery expert to overcome these problemes myself.

The webside, where I whant to integrate the multishop extension and where the test is running, is not only a shop portal, it´s a regional portal with many different functions. Therefore, it´s essential to integrate other extensions too, which use jQuery.

At this moment, there are 3 wellknown extensions installed like, "muliple content", "perfect lightbox" and "powermail", which use jQuery. They all use the T3 jQuery library extension, what also is installed. These extensions all work together without any conflict or error messages.

One of the main reasons, not only, I want to change to multiple shop extension, instead of tt_products, is the obviously easy upload of products.

I have tested this, with a csv-file provided by a customer, including 28 categories with nearly 700 products. (What would take time of weeks/months to put in and store manually) No problems with multiple shop. But some questions open. (For example, there was no image upload why? Where are these files stored? etc.)

But first I have to overcome the problems with the described configugations. Hopefully with your further help.

As desrcibed above, uninstalling other jQuery based extensions, in this case is not a solution.

Once again, thanks for your efforts. Even, it was not really helpful until yet. but may be soon!?

Hi once again!icon_razz.gif

Found out what extension caused the conflict. Had placed the perfect lightbox extension template on rootpage. After disabling the extension it works. Can see the configuration options.

(Sometimes one cannot see the forest, because of too many
trees!)
This problem is solved. Nevertheless, would be nice if both extensions could work together without conflicts. by using both T3jQuery library. Would cause less work on bigger portals.
